The photo of the scooter is from Original Refrigerator Art, a kind of book-blog by Tyler Monson containing pictures from a month he spent in Paris in the autumn of 2007.

I'm really enjoying it: the consistent, quiet style, the restrained palette, the slightly haphazard feel to the layout—though the selection and sequencing is inspired, and there's nothing loose about it.

I wish it were easier to run through the series from start to finish (since it's in blog format, the pictures start at the back and finish on the front page, so working through them in the right order is a bit fiddly); but we can't have everything. Highly recommended.

Update (06/11). Tyler has re-worked the blog, reversing the order (it now reads front-to-back, like a normal book) and adding some new content. I'd love to see this as a real, hold-in-your hands book.

This blog has been going for over a year now, since June 2009. I feel like a change, and I'm getting a bit tired of the old photos, so I've decided to take everything down and start again.

The plan is the same: Get out, take photos, post them. Semi-regularly. Don't get precious. Be happy with a handful of decent pictures a year.
